Tax Preparer / Accountant
Position Overview CPA firm in Fergus Falls, MN seeking a Tax / Financial Accountant / CPA to assist our clients in preparing their tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be proficient in accounting software. Prior experience in public accounting is a plus. This role is hybrid 1-2 days per week in office in Fergus Falls, with flexible scheduling.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare and file tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Review financial records and statements for accuracy
- Assist clients with tax-related inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Stay updated on tax law changes and regulations
- Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software for financial statement preparation
- Conduct thorough analysis of clients' financial situations to optimize tax savings
- Maintain organized records of client information and tax documents
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide updates on their tax returns
- Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met
Qualifications - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Experience in tax preparation and accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to interpret tax regulations and apply them correctly
