We’re seeking an experienced Developer to support our custom J2EE Identity and Credential application. The ideal candidate will have ideas and strategies and aid in implementing them to foster an environment of modernization and collaboration. The candidate will have significant experience with J2EE and any modern Dev Stack and processes, including Linux, Ansible, and Hashi Suite (Terraform, Consul, Vault, Vagrant, Packer, Nomad). This individual will work remotely and travel occasionally to corporate headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· 6 - 10 years of experience in Software Development in large, complex, multi-site, multi-layered organizations: Specifically, application development using Java, J2EE, EJB, JSP, JNDI, JDBC, Servlets, JAXP, Java Beans, JDBC, JMS, Java Mail, LDAP, XML, XSLT, AJAX, Applets, JavaScript, HTML and DHTML.
· Experience developing graphical user interfaces using AWT, JFC (Swing), HTML5, DOJO, CSS3, SCSS, AngularJS, and leveraging libraries such as JQuery, Bootstrap, etc.
· Experience working with RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server and Postgres in cloud and on-prem
· Experience in JAVA/J2EE, JBOSS technologies including design, coding, performance tuning, testing, maintenance and support of software applications.
· Experience with EKS, AWS services, Git, Concourse CI (Bosh Deployments), Docker, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL.
· 2+ years of experience in Docker, and other Tools.
· 2+ yrs experience developing microservices
· Prior experience working in an Agile environment as part of an Agile team.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving tactics for user management, process management, and data cleanup/refinement contexts
· Ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience with collaboration tools, specifically: Office 365, Outlook, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and MS Teams
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline
· 2+ years of experience working in a CI/CD Solution environment.
· Ability to iterate in problem-solving and learn in an open-source setting.
