Aggregate Resource Industries, Inc. is a specialty subcontractor headquartered in Springfield, OR, United States, focusing on rock drilling, blasting, and crushing operations, alongside the operation of rock quarries for retail sales of construction aggregates. Position Overview The Rock Drill Operator Apprentice will be trained to safely and efficiently operating hydraulic rock drills at quarries, mines, construction, solar and development projects throughout the United States. Compensation - We offer a generous and progressive pay scale. Pay for this position depends on experience.
- Typical annual earnings: $70,000-$100,000 per year

Job Requirements/ Qualifications - Adaptable with the ability to adjust to changing circumstances and adjust to new tasks and environments.
- Motivated and results-oriented with the persistence to complete challenging projects on time and to a high standard.
- Ability to work well with both a team and independently when working in remote locations.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment.
Job Responsibilities - Safely and efficiently operates hydraulic drills on construction, rock quarry sites, mines, solar fields, development, and other specialty projects.
- Performs daily maintenance activities required for safe, efficient operation of assigned equipment.
- Completes necessary equipment pre-operation inspections, workplace examinations and paperwork per company policy.
- Understands different drill patterns and terminology then executes drill pattern and layout as established by Project Managers.
- Ensures drill hole quality after drilling each hole and at the completion of the project.
- Continuously updates the Project Managers on the progress of project completion.
- Deploys automated drill log mobile application to execute the project’s drill pattern design and capture drill hole data.
- Occasionally assists with blasting operations.
- Performs general housekeeping duties to continuously maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Safety - Views safety as paramount and continually works with team members to maintain a safe operation.
- Conducts daily safety inspections on equipment and worksites to identify and address potential hazards.
- Properly follows all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
