Job Title: Pathology Assistant - TRAVEL Location: Seattle, WA Start Date: December 9, 2024 Duration: 13-week assignment, Day Shift (5x8, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM) Pay Rate: $3,320 per week Job Description ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled Pathology Assistant for a Surgical Pathology role in Seattle, WA. This position involves the grossing of high-complexity surgical specimens and supporting laboratory operations in a fast-paced, specialized environment. Key Responsibilities

• Perform gross examination and dissection of complex surgical specimens, including colon cancers, breast cancers, and whipples.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and safety standards.
• Use CoPath LIS for specimen tracking and Cerner EMR for documentation.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely processing and diagnosis of specimens.
• Participate in on-site training and orientation to adapt to department-specific procedures.

Requirements

• Certifications: ASCP-registered Pathology Assistant (Required).
• Experience: Prior experience in grossing complex specimens is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CoPath LIS and Cerner EMR systems.
• Additional Information: No contact with patients; MLT or MT certification and BLS are not required.

* 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

* 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
