Job Title : MRI Technologist

Location : Brattleboro, Vermont

Shift Type : Days

Shift Times : 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Shift Notes : Thursday - Sunday, 32 hours per week

Salary : $104,601 annually (dependent on experience)

Job Summary :

Under the direction of the Director of Radiology and the Medical Director, the MRI Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures involving Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). This role operates at a technical level with limited supervision, independently conducting MRI procedures and exercising independent judgment and initiative. The MRI Technologist must have a comprehensive understanding of MRI safety protocols and procedures.

The Radiology Department provides services in diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, computed tomography, interventional radiography, MRI, bone density, and mammography. The department supports inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients, offering services 24/7. The role also includes ensuring quality control, protecting patients and staff from harmful radiation, and contributing to continuing education efforts for staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform MRI procedures independently, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images
  • Ensure high-quality patient care and proper use of MRI technology
  • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and support staff to provide optimal imaging services
  • Maintain patient records and MRI procedure documentation
  • Perform venipuncture and administer contrast agents as needed (training provided if necessary)
  • Contribute to quality control efforts, marketing, and educational activities

Requirements :

  • Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program Required
  • Previous experience in MRI in a hospital setting Required
  • ARRT Registry Required
  • MRI Registry Required
  • CPR Certification Required
  • Venipuncture Certification (can be obtained within 3 months of hire) Required
  • At least two recent supervisory references Required
