Job Description



RESPONSIBILITIES

Training

  • Complete/maintain required certifications
  • Conduct trainings as necessary to support the needs of the business
    • Including but not limited to New Hire Orientation, ATSSA certification, driving training, traffic safety (new hire and ongoing)
  • Ensure new team members are onboarded accurately and thoroughly on Day 1
  • Provide training and prepare new hires to pass certification tests
  • Prepares and evaluates team members to become certified drivers

Other Responsibilities

  • Conduct job site inspections when not performing training related job duties
  • Attend safety meetings and participate as required
  • Assist in the ongoing training and development of team
  • Assist in safety compliance and other compliance-related activities as appropriate

Qualifications



REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of training in a variety of conditions including field and classroom
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to take direction
  • Proficient using technology to perform system management, review, and editing
  • Ability to read and interpret written information clearly and accurately
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priority items
  • Proactive and confident to work independently, while maintaining strong teamwork skills
  • Experience with traffic control and safety devices preferred, but not required

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include but are not limited to the following:

  • Variable hours of operation based on training needs and workload
  • Ability to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing walking, and driving
  • Regular exposure to all weather conditions in combination with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
  • Majority of hours will be worked in a training room setting or in a vehicle, however some time will be spent with exposure to the elements
  • May be required to lift or carry objects up to 40 pounds

The hiring range for this position is $60,000-65,000 per year. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
