Milton & King manufactures on demand, highly curated and globally designed luxury wallpapers and wallcoverings. Founded in Australia by brothers Richard and Bryce, in 2008, Milton & King is in an exciting global expansion phase. Our showroom and production studio in the Dallas Design District is continuing to serve and excite our happy customers.

 

This is a unique opportunity to join a small and dedicated global team and be involved in the production of luxury wallpaper, and the long-term success of Milton and King.


As the Experienced Production Print Manager at our fast-paced Dallas production studio, your role will be critical to the success, productivity, and daily output of our production print team. Additionally, the Production Print Manager will be responsible for operating and performing regular maintenance on our EFI UV and HP Latex large-format digital printers, and various finishing equipment. 

 

The right person for this position will possess a history of proven team leadership, employee management success, and can expect to lead a 4–7-person production team. This individual takes pride and ownership of product quality, team moral, and brand consistency. Working closely with our dedicated global team, the Production Print Manager will ensure our North America print operations remain increasingly streamlined, scalable, and well organized.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

To be successful in this role you will need to fulfill the following:

  • Efficiently manage all aspects of print production, manufacturing, employee performance and dispatch process.
  • Expertly operate large-format digital printers and trimmers with care, skill, and speed.
  • Adhere to digital printer maintenance schedules to ensure uninterrupted, optimal print output.
  • Continually strive to revise and improve processes while minimizing cost.
  • Manage production employees with integrity, honesty and positivity, and conduct regular staff training and development.
  • Methodically set-up digital printers by prioritizing order volume and product demand, while considering time constraints and/or employee limitations.
  • Positively motivate team to meet daily production deadlines with an energetic, can-do attitude.
  • Prepare daily print schedule for each digital printer.
  • Tackle equipment malfunctions with resourceful troubleshooting and quick results.
  • Share product knowledge, industry experience, and trade wisdom with production print team.
  • Assemble, collate, and finish orders error-free and according to detailed order specifications.
  • Generate and maintain weekly employee work schedule.
  • Enforce daily/weekly team housekeeping responsibilities to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness.
  • Promptly complete and maintain production administration using various online platforms including Salesforce, ShipStation, RIP workstation, Fiery, Microsoft Office 365, etc.
  • Maintain orderly production warehouse and manage digital printer ink supply, various substrates, and part inventory.
  • Handle phone and online customer service inquires as required.
  • Ensure all print orders are completed adhering to our high aesthetic standards and quick domestic shipping lead-time promise.
  • Maximize print run-time efficiency while maintaining product quality and order accuracy.
  • Ensure OSHA safety and health standards are met to continue keeping Milton & King’s print manufacturing accident-free.
  • Reduce print errors and paper & ink waste by implementing Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Process Improvement practices.
  • Communicate regularly with local and global management, leadership, and customer support team regarding problems or print issues impacting production.
  • Attend routine virtual calls and meetings to discuss global business initiatives.
  • Complete special projects and/or custom work-orders as requested.


Technical Aptitude:

  • Technically and mechanically minded.
  • Experience performing large-format printer repairs and maintenance.
  • Deep understanding of the large-format print manufacturing process.
  • Experience using HP Latex 3000 printers and EFI Vutek Q3r printer.
  • Experience using trimmer, commercial paper cutter, industrial drill and roll rewinder.
  • Confident in positive team management impact and effective leadership style.
  • Comfortable utilizing technological business and industry online platforms and software.
  • Exceptional eye for detail and ability to maximize time to remain on target.
  • Maintains calm and cool when performing under pressure and/or adapting to unexpected changes.

Additional Position Details: 

  • Monday - Friday with occasional weekends, 7:30am - 5:30pm *Times may vary depending order volume.
