About the Role

As an Alumni Relations Manager, reporting to the VP of Finance & Affiliate Investments, you will be an integral part of our Paul Mitchell Schools team. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategies to engage and support our alumni community and the relationship with Paul Mitchell Schools. You will focus on fostering strong relationships with students, graduates, JPMS customers, salons and external partners. You will have a deep understanding of the beauty and hair care industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in relationship management.

Our ideal candidate is within a commutable distance of our Century City office. This position requires travel.

What You will Do :

  • Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and analysis of campaigns across digital, social, email, events, and traditional marketing channels that support our brand relationship with Paul Mitchell Schools and alumni
  • Plan and coordinate alumni events, including reunions, networking events, and professional development workshops
  • Create and manage an alumni database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Develop and distribute regular communications, such as newsletters and social media updates, to keep alumni informed and engaged
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to highlight alumni achievements and success stories
  • Provide career support and resources to alumni through salon relationships, including identifying job placement opportunities and mentorship programs
  • Foster partnerships with industry organizations and educational institutions to enhance alumni opportunities
  • Monitor and analyze alumni engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of programs and initiatives

  • Understanding of the beauty and hair care industry strongly preferred

Education :

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Cosmetology license preferred

Experience :

  • 5+ years of experience in alumni relations, community engagement, or a similar role required

Competitive Compensation:

  • The expected base salary range for this position for California based candidates is $80,000 to $90,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including geographic location, experience, skills, and education. Compensation for all non-California based candidates will be subject to local markets in addition to depending on experience.
  • Discretionary Bonus Plan: This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
